For the past 10 or so years the 'natural', 'organic' and 'clean green' trends have become big business! However, look a little closer into these brands and products and you'll find that many of them are not 100 percent delivering who and what they say they are.
Yes, they claim to be earth and eco-friendly, packaging is aesthetically pleasing and the marketing and advertisements promise to deliver 'miracles' in terms of health and beauty, but dig a little deeper and you'll discover a lot of ambiguity in this industry that doesn't live up to the trendy hype; this is called 'greenwashing'.
"Greenwashing is an extremely unethical practice used by companies and individuals to make more money, influence outcomes and solicit trust."-Ethical Brand Directory
The reality is that once a business becomes 'trendy' they need to increase supply in a major way and this is when businesses tend to 'let slide' on their commitment to people and planet.
For example, because plastic is cheaper than biodegradable packaging and postage materials, many in the industry continue to use plastic packaging out of convenience. As we know, plastic is one of the most detrimental materials to the Earth and the environment.
Studies have found that certain chemicals in plastic can leach out of the plastic and into the food and beverages we eat. Some of these chemicals have been linked to health problems such as metabolic disorders (including obesity) and reduced fertility. This leaching can occur even faster and to a greater degree when plastic is exposed to heat.

Another way we absorb toxic chemicals is through the pores in the skin, so we must be discerning about what is actually in these products. So much chemicals and unnatural 'fillers' are added to preserve and stretch out materials so that bulk supply is feasible but in the process the potency of beneficial plant properties are diluted.
Also, many of these companies eventually expand to cater for demand and therefore these products become factory made losing their efficacy and they sit on the shelf for a long period of time before they are actually sold, minimising the quality and effectiveness of the product. This is why small batch businesses are much safer for you and the Earth.
What makes Waioraflows Natural Soulutionz Different and Unique?

Waioraflows Natural Soulutionz has taken into consideration all of these concerns, because who wants to be ingesting more toxins in a world that is already full of it!
My offerings have a knack of calling to people and their magickal energy flows to where it needs to go, this is Mauri magick!

Here are just some aspects which make Waioraflows unique:
1. Co-creating with the Earth and her Elementals
We live in a vibrational and multidimensional world. Realms exist that are both tangible and intangible (cant be seen, but felt), such as the energetic, spiritual and elemental realms. Both realities are vital for healing. Nature communicates vibrationally and I work with this intangible realm to help create and bring my products to life, literally!
I do this by infusing spirit, soul and ecology through traditional maori healing, mauri therapy, reiki and bio-eco spirituality into all of my products from the moment of inspiration to formation. In fact people have often commented that receiving my products leaves an imprint on them, and this is what I refer to as Mauri flow. My healing hands act as conduits for Mother nature's energy to flow, and this energy is guaranteed to be felt to those who are open to receive it.
2. Small batch only and in tune with seasons:
The benefits of being small batch are truly wholistic and more personalised. It means that product and materials are not wasted and unlike larger businesses, small seasonal harvests minimise the damage caused to earth and nature. Handcrafted products are high vibrational as healing energy flows through the healing conduits of the hands and when working intentionally with each creation this Mauri is infused into the product.
3. Kaitiakitanga- As an Earth Guardian I have a deep connection with Mother nature and I feel an obligation to care, protect and honour her. When it comes to my business one way I do this is through the principles of kaitiakitanga.
Respect, Responsibility, Reciprocity.
This means:
- only taking what is needed;
-having multiple locations to harvest from (wild herbs and plants);
-making sure these spaces are safe and free of toxic chemicals such as 1080 and pesticides
-asking and giving thanks before taking anything from her
-using correct methods of harvesting so plants are not damaged and can replenish the following year.
4. People and planet over profit:
Waioraflows is not a profit oriented business it is a bio-eco spiritual business. This means the healing of the earth and humanity is the priority. In practice this means costs are kept to a minimum so that peoples from all walks of life have an opportunity to experience the healing and love that flows from my products. I also give back to the Earth through sacred communion every single day and karakia.
5. Commitment to 98% eco-packaging.
Packaging can either be reused or returned to the earth and plastic is reduced drastically.
