As a creative starting out, visibility in the noisy metaverse can be a lot of work! In fact, it can take months and even years to gain any traction online and build a loyal community who supports and elevates what you do without losing your authenticity in the process. But don't let that stop you!
Take it from someone who has built a decent following, then deactivated, built it again, then deactivated again and who is now back online building again, again! Please, don't give up if you believe in what you're offering and more importantly if you really enjoy what you're creating.
Through my trials and errors of building my creative blissness, I've learnt a few things that may help you in your quest to launch your creative ideas using social media platforms.
Tip 1: Be your Heartiest Supporter by Elevating & Empowering Yourself before anyone else...
This was a harsh lesson that I learned over time. If I didn't believe and trust in myself and my craft, how could I expect others to do the same?
On some level we tune into each other's energy online, especially as our community becomes more intimate and connected. There are just some things that people can't hide. And why would we want too? Hiding the truth of who we are is dis-empowering and inauthentic. To attract authentic beings we must be our authentic selves.
First and foremost, we need to be our heartiest supporters and be ruthless when it comes to empowering and elevating our creativity and blissness (the things we do, that bring us the most joy) online and off.
By doing so, we will maintain our integrity, inspiration and intrinsic motivation while witnessing others around us rise and become successful in what they're doing. The last thing we want to do is feel jealous, resentful, competitive or worthless that other's are doing the do. We just need to stay in our lane and keep growing!
Create but Don't hate!
We’ve been fed this belief that we must reach a 6-figure income in 6 months. Actually, we’ve been convinced that if it does not happen, we’re doing something wrong. Instead, track your tiny wins and your gradual progress as a reflection of your overall growth.
Tip 2: Start Your circle off Small & Intimate
I went from a pretty decent following that took 2+ years to build to a very small online circle and there is no going back for me. I love keeping my circle small & intimate.
One thing I uncovered from my yo-yo experience, is that a bigger following doesn't equate to more value or sales. That's an illusion. In fact the more followers you accumulate the more time and energy you'll find yourself investing online, which is not ideal.
By honing in on the type of energy, consciousness, people and interests that inspire you, you will naturally concentrate your own frequency and attract those who are inspired by you and your creativity.
Minimising who you follow also helps control the noise and what you are digesting, so you don't get overwhelmed and lost in the crowd. From here, your connections will naturally grow in an authentic way.
Remember you are in the driver's seat navigating through the heavy online traffic, stay in your lane if you want to maintain your boundaries and focus when starting out on your journey
TIp 3: Support those who Support you & Weed out regularly!
This is an oldie but still a damn goodie! Too many people are out here supporting others who don't even see them. What a damn shame when you could be investing time and energy into the people who appreciate and value what you bring to the table.
I've been turned off by so many people online who just see 'followers' as dollar signs or who don't value and reciprocate support. It can be as simple as liking and/or commenting on content. Support your peoples, but make sure they reciprocate the love!
Otherwise, weed them out.

Don't be shy to weed out people who are just lurking or whose content doesn't resonate, but also be prepared to be unfollowed. But here's why you shouldn't let it get to you.
People unfollowing isn't a negative thing. It just means that we don't vibe and we have nothing to offer each other so why waste time and energy? Not everyone is going to resonate with what you offer. So concentrate on the people that do!
The way I see it, everything is consciousness and we're all operating on various timelines at different vibratory rates, therefore we're not all going to like and agree with each other and that's ok.
Golden rule: Live and let live.
Tip 4: Elevate your own voice and Content before anyone else's.....
This is so important!! If we want to elevate and empower our voice, energy and blissness we need to stop putting others content before our own. Stop sharing other people's thoughts and start expressing your own.
So many big accounts have built their net worth on the backs off of masses of 'small' peoples at the bottom of the food chain (so to speak) who support and elevate what they say and what they're offering.
But for what? Often with these bigger accounts there is no credit given where credit is deserved and remember without the little fish, the big sharks wouldn't eat! All you're doing is putting someone's worth before your own. That's called 'idolism'.
What about elevating what you have to offer? What about uplifting your voice? If we want to be heard, seen and create ripples in the online space using our frequency, we've got to start empowering and lifting our own thoughts, voice, ideas, products, services, creations and most importantly, our frequency. Be courageous, be YOU!
Tip 5: Screen all your follow requests and protect your intellectual property
Everything you put out on the internet whether it be thoughts, ideas, products or services can be snatched, grabbed and used for someone else's gain, which can be very disheartening when you know how much time, energy and effort has gone into your blissness.
Therefore, don't be too eager to accept new followers, particularly if they are in the same line of business as you. Screen them first, request to follow them before you accept their request and do some reconnaissance on their page to collect intuitive intelligence.
There is a lot you can tell about a person just by going on their page and reading some of their posts, conversations and how they respond.
Many people are super ambitious online and thirsty for new ideas and concepts to inspire their own content. Be wary, be vigilant and don't be too eager to accumulate more followers remember quality over quantity adds more long term nourishment to your blissness.
To wrap this all up, don't be afraid to self-promote or elevate yourself and what you have to offer, be your biggest fan as well as your hardest critic and empower all that you are!
Thank you for your presence.
